https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtEIrSa4IFs What brought me here: technology and tribal community movie- search so i watched a video of durga pooja , drums and celebrations from friends at home on facebook. i was drawn to go back home. the fall colors and everything, in the usa fall pale to the culture at home, family and people. and im a sucker for that kind of a thing. but there is all this scientific knowledge here . im a sucker of that kind of a thing too. and there are problems to solve back home. no one talsk about problems there, just tools. tools give us food and thats a problem in itself. and i have always been torn between these two. i keep thinking how can i have both. why doenst india have both. then i wondered how some communities may be technologically advanced yet preserver their connection to community, earth and people. i found this china also comes to my mind in india, they used to force us, especially women to choose between home and individuality ...

I felt abused by the information products I needed to use- they were taking advantage of user's needs

Linkedin, FB etc. If they actually just focus on informing users- they would even have many paying customers. People don't want to do the hard jobs. Once the conversation shifts from how to and where to and what to apply (The tool/ algorithm/ formula) as most teh workers like to ask/ think/ work.( Speaking from experience) Once the conversation shifts to how to, whom to, why to inform- It will be a whole better place for everyone involved. Transparency, honesty and integrity will earn hearts and money. That's my philosophy as an information professional.
